Sharjah Hosts Inaugural Evolve Future Mobility Show, Setting New Benchmarks for Electric and New Energy Vehicles
The inaugural edition of the Evolve Future Mobility Show (EFMS 2025), the Middle East’s first exhibition dedicated exclusively to electric and new energy vehicles, concluded on a resounding note at Expo Centre Sharjah. Held between 15th and 18th October, the event drew more than 5,000 visitors, including top automotive industry executives, fleet operators, and a global community of industry leaders, experts, innovators, and policymakers with a shared vision of advancing sustainable mobility.
Supported by the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) and organized by Expo Centre Sharjah in partnership with MIE Events, EFMS 2025 served as a pivotal platform for showcasing next-generation technologies and pioneering green transport projects. The event specifically spotlighted the UAE’s government initiatives to accelerate electric vehicle (EV) adoption and reduce carbon emissions, in line with the National Electric Vehicles Policy. This policy aims to boost the proportion of EVs to 50% of total vehicles by 2050, representing a crucial step in the nation’s journey towards clean energy transition and the achievement of its Net Zero target.
EFMS 2025 delivered an immersive experience featuring the latest electric and hybrid vehicle technologies, alongside infrastructure innovations spanning EV charging stations, smart mobility systems, and integrated renewable energy solutions. Among the standout innovations was the unveiling of the A2RL Autonomous Formula 1 Car—hailed as the world’s most advanced self-driving sports car. This vehicle, capable of reaching speeds greater than 340 km/h, operates entirely without a human driver and is enabled by AI-driven perception, decision-making, and control systems, signaling a monumental breakthrough in autonomous mobility and motorsports.
Attendees also enjoyed an interactive Formula 1 simulator—officially licensed by AMG and certified by the FIA—which provided a realistic and engaging experience mirroring the exact dynamics and structure of an actual race car cockpit.
Saif Mohammed Al Midfa, CEO of Expo Centre Sharjah, remarked on the event’s resounding success, highlighting its endorsement of Sharjah’s strategic economic vision focused on innovation and sustainability.
- “This strong turnout highlights the exhibition’s regional and global significance and demonstrates Sharjah’s broader vision of evolving from a technology user to an active contributor in the advancement of electric mobility industries, while hosting leading global companies in the electric transport sector.”
The debut EFMS provided a robust platform for industry knowledge exchange and the formation of impactful global partnerships, most notably through an international summit. The summit welcomed more than 100 distinguished speakers and experts from around the world for 20 panel discussions and sessions delving into the core tenets of the electric and new energy vehicle industry.
EFMS 2025 encompassed over ten major sectors of the EV value chain, presenting a comprehensive spectrum from electric passenger cars, light and heavy-duty vehicles, and hydrogen-powered vehicles to crucial areas such as EV charging infrastructure.
This landmark event unfolded against the backdrop of accelerating global EV adoption. Industry estimates suggest the global EV market value will soar to USD 1.39 trillion by 2029, underscoring the significance of platforms like EFMS in propelling the transition to clean energy and sustainable mobility—both regionally and on the world stage.
