Chile and South Africa Strengthen Collaboration in Mining Services
Chile and South Africa—two global mining powerhouses—are taking decisive steps to boost mutual growth, innovation, and sustainability in the mining sector through enhanced collaboration. This week, a delegation of South African mining supplier companies visited Chile, marking the start of a high-potential partnership in one of the world’s most critical industries.
Representing InvestChile, Mining Sector Lead Christoff Janse joined a session featuring a presentation and open dialogue with the visiting South African delegation. The event, attended by South Africa’s Ambassador to Chile, George Monyemangene, and officials from the South African Department of Trade, Industry and Competition, provided a platform to examine the opportunities that Chile’s dynamic mining ecosystem offers to foreign investors, technology providers, and service companies.
During the session, participants explored multiple themes, focusing on Chile’s strengths as an investment destination, its global leadership in mining, and the increasing demand for innovative technologies and services.
