Dangote Foundation Announces Charity Run, Receives Heartfelt Support from Ousmane Dembélé
In an official statement, Aliko Dangote, Chairman of the Dangote Foundation and renowned African businessman and philanthropist, has reiterated the Foundation’s core commitment: to empower every African child to hope, learn, and succeed. This ambition, he emphasizes, is both simple and bold as the Foundation continues to drive initiatives aimed at transforming the continent’s future.
As part of this mission, Dangote extended a special invitation to Ousmane Dembélé, the internationally celebrated football star, to join the Charity Run for the Children of Africa. Dembélé’s response, marked by deep humanity and solidarity, underscores the importance of such pan-African initiatives.
Ousmane Dembélé stated:
“I was born into a humble community, and I grew up with the values of solidarity and courage. If I can help the children of Africa believe in their dreams, then I will participate without hesitation. I will be by your side for this cause.”
Dangote highlighted that Dembélé’s commitment is a powerful gesture and an act of African brotherhood. He stressed, “This is not just a race, but a movement to unite men and women who continue to believe in values like compassion and progress. Together, we can build schools, hospitals, and most importantly, futures for Africa’s children.”
Issuing a call to action, Dangote appealed to African businesses, athletes, artists, and leaders to join the cause. “Africa doesn’t need pity; it needs opportunities. And we have a moral obligation to provide them,” he remarked.
The Foundation’s vision remains clear—an educated child represents a continent moving forward and a cared-for child signifies a future reborn. Dangote concluded by encouraging collective action: “Africa can write its own story. Together, let’s do it.”
